Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Economics and Finance Education (JEFE) undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Submissions are evaluated for originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, and clarity of presentation. The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s academic standards or fall outside its scope.

Authorship and Ethical Standards

Authors must submit original work that has not been published previously and is not under review by another journal. All authors are expected to have made significant contributions to the research and to approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.

JEFE adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow best practices for ethical conduct in research and publishing.

Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in a journal or book (print or electronic). By submitting material to JEFE, the author stipulates that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that it will not be submitted elsewhere until completion of the editorial decision process.

Formatting Requirements and Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted via email to the journal’s chief editor. To submit your manuscript, please contact the Editor.

Authors should ensure that all identifying information is removed from the manuscript file at the time of initial submission for the purposes of blind review.

All submissions must comply with the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) style guide.

Authorial Rights, Copyright, and Licensing

Authors publishing with JEFE grant the journal the right to publish and distribute their accepted work while retaining ownership of their intellectual property. Beginning in 2025, articles are made openly available under a Creative Commons license, permitting sharing and reuse with appropriate attribution.

By default, JEFE applies the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license. This license allows others to copy and redistribute the work for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution, but does not permit public distribution of modified versions.

Authors may request an alternative Creative Commons license (e.g., CC BY) at the time of submission in consultation with the editor.

Authors publishing with JEFE agree that:

  • All published articles will include the statement: “This article is distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons License [license name],” with a link to the full license.
  • Any reproduction, distribution, or adaptation must properly credit the author(s), The Journal of Economics and Finance Education, include a link to the original publication, and reference the applicable Creative Commons license.

Under a Creative Commons license, authors retain the right to:

  • Share and archive their article in institutional or disciplinary repositories, with a link to the original publication
  • Post the article on personal or departmental webpages, with a link to the journal
  • Use the article in classroom teaching, learning management systems, and other non-commercial educational settings
