Rollins College Six-Word Memoirs

Rollins College Six-Word Memoirs

Can you share the story of your semester in 6 words?

Thanks to author Larry Smith (who was inspired by Earnest Hemingway), the Six-Word Memoir has become a literary exercise in storytelling and a global phenomenon. Millions have shared their 6-word stories online at https://www.sixwordmemoirs.com/ and many more have read and appreciated them.

This semester, the Office of Religious Life, the Rollins English Department, and the Olin Library are joining the movement and calling for creative submissions of "Six-Word Memoirs" that reflect YOUR personal Fall 2020 semester experience. All entries will be posted to this online collection, reviewed by a panel of readers, and considered for special recognition and prizes! If you're looking for inspiration, check out the New York Time's recent onion piece about "The Pandemic in Six-Word Memoirs."

Have more than just words to express?

Great! We encourage you to submit an audio recording, a video clip, and visual images or art alongside your Six-Word Memoir. So get creative and think big.

When you're ready, you can set up your unique login credentials and SUBMIT YOUR SIX-WORD MEMOIR HERE!
