Abstract
The Roadkill Manifesto is a multimodal manuscript of poetry, prose, and photography which explores roadkill as not only ecological victims, but also as a metaphor for marginalized people. In this metaphor, if the Road is any oppressive system (i.e. capitalism, colonialism, etc.), roadkill are any and all who are harmed or pushed to the curb. Following this manuscript is a craft essay, titled "Roadkill as Metaphor in The Roadkill Manifesto."
